Best prices paid for Aidan Strain Collection – 1963 Doe Triple-D sells for £54,000

East Anglian-based auctioneer Cheffins has organized the on-site sale of over 80 classic and vintage tractors on behalf of the well-known collector.

Mr. Strain began his collection in the 1990s, focusing on Massey Ferguson, David Browns, Fords and Internationals.

He decided to sell the collection, which included 81 tractors, as well as various vehicles, tools and spare parts, to enable the growth of his business, Aidan Strain Electrical Engineering Ltd.

Oliver Godfrey, Director of Cheffins, commented: “The Aidan Strain sale was well attended, with over 400 buyers registering on the day and a further 250 registering online.

“Buyers came from all over the UK and Europe, and many of the best lots are expected to remain in Ireland.

“The collection has generated enormous interest upstream, and we have seen extraordinary prices paid for the tractors on offer.
