Holt Transport Obtains Paragon Funding to Expand Transport Fleet
Lockerbie-based transport company Holt Transport has secured five-figure financing from Paragon SME Lending to help it expand its fleet.
The company acquired a DAF truck tractor to support the company’s growth. The vehicle will be used for contract work on routes in Scotland and England.
The purchase increased the size of Holt Transport’s fleet to seven trucks as the company resumes growth following the pandemic. Kevin Holt founded the company in 1998 and currently has twelve people, including ten drivers.
Holt said: “The addition of this vehicle is important as we win new contracts and expand our customer base. We will be using the vehicle on a day and night rotation, so it is a vital addition to our fleet.
He added, “The Paragon team is easy to work with and understand our business and requirements. They were able to structure the financing on flexible and attractive terms.
Funding was arranged by Craig Owens, Business Development Manager of Paragon Small Business Lending for Scotland. Paragon has also already funded two trailers for the company.
Craig Owens said: “Holt Transport is a fantastic independent family business celebrating almost a quarter of a century in business. The company prides itself on its excellent customer service and I am delighted to have been able to support its growth with the addition of this new vehicle.
