John Deere has expanded its G-tier wheel loader offering in the United States with the addition of the 644 G-tier. Additionally, John Deere‘s new 544 G-tier wheel loader is now available in Canada.

“Not all customers are looking for the most technology in a machine,” says Luke Gribble, solutions marketing manager at John Deere, which unveiled its performance prioritization strategy in 2021. “Introducing the 544 G-tier to the Canada and expanding the availability of the 644 G-tier in the United States, we are providing our customers with options to meet their diverse needs.

Gribble says John Deere’s G-level models help customers looking for reliability without the extras they’d find in a P-level or X-level wheel loader.

“With the G-level models, customers get the versatility and robustness of a machine, without any compromises,” he says.

John Deere says the 644 G-tier is equipped with a cab design that promotes ease of operation. The 644 G-level wheel loaders are equipped with a 6.8 liter John Deere engine and John Deere Teammate axles. Customers can customize the machine with a variety of base packages, including options related to locking differentials, ride control, seats, radio and rear frame work lights.

The 544 G-tier, on the other hand, is designed to provide a more economical solution in the 3-yd. loader size class. John Deere says the G 544 Level Controls were designed with operators of all skill levels and productivity in mind, offering simplified setup and comprehensive functionality.
