Kubota enters the virtual world on Farming Simulator 22
Manufacturers have long known the value of a brand and Kubota is making its presence felt on the popular fame, Farming Simulator 22.
Along with pedal tractors and toddler overalls in the colors of dad’s favorite tractor, companies are also keen to get their names out there for young farmers online.
Video games as a marketing tool
Kubota isn’t widely known for pursuing this line of marketing, but it’s moving fast with the announcement that it’s teaming up with Giants Software to create a collection of tractors, loaders, and RTV models for the virtual world.
These virtual machines will be available for use on the popular computer game Farming Simulator 22 from the end of this month.
With the Kubota add-on pack, players can experience real-life replicas of many of the company’s tractors and machines.
These include the US-only M8 series of tractors, as well as the more familiar M7, M6, and M5 models, in addition to skid steer loaders and crawler loaders.
Compacts included on Farming Simulator
It’s not just the mainline tractors that are featured either, the Kubota package contains an LA 2255 loader tractor and several RTV models, all found on farms in everyday situations.
Many of the smaller Kubota tractors are found in estate management and landscaping roles as well as agriculture, but it is not currently known if they are equipped with turf or agricultural tires for more realism.
For multiplayer farming, players can include passengers alongside the RTV operator, and brand fans can also outfit their characters in Kubota-branded clothing from the virtual wardrobe.
Farming Simulator gives players a full online farming experience, and Kubota’s development pack, due out June 28, expands its appeal on PC, Mac, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox X/S series and Platform. stadium shape.
