PyroGenesis Canada Inc Appoints New Board of Directors and Independent CFO


Company appointed Nannette Ramsey to board while hiring Ben Simo as CFO

PyroGenesis Canada Inc () (NASDAQ: PYR) () announced two major nominations.

The company has appointed Nannette Ramsey as independent director and Ben Simo as chief financial officer.

PyroGenesis said Ramsey brings manufacturing experience from Caterpillar Tractor Company and JI Case. Most recently, she served as Site Manager and Associate Director of Engineering for the Edgewood Chemical Biological Center site at Rock Island Arsenal, Illinois.

She was responsible for strategic planning, budgeting, technical support and testing, quality assurance and information technology solutions for a variety of clients.

“Ms. Ramsey’s extensive manufacturing experience is a valuable addition to the Board of Directors. I am pleased to welcome him on behalf of the board as an independent director, ”PyroGenesis CEO P Peter Pascali said in a statement. “His solid background combined with his extensive engineering expertise also fits well with the next stage of business growth. We look forward to Ms. Ramsey’s ideas and perspectives during this exciting time in the company’s evolution.

Meanwhile, the company said new CFO Simo has more than 20 years of finance experience with manufacturing and high-tech companies, including publicly traded companies, in Canada. He brings to the company extensive experience in the areas of corporate finance, operational finance, accounting, tax and financial reporting.

“I am also delighted to welcome Ben as Chief Financial Officer of PyroGenesis,” said Pascali. “His extensive financial expertise, combined with his experience in manufacturing and high-tech companies, is a welcome addition to the PyroGenesis family. Ben will help us execute and further develop our growth strategies. As the company will no longer require an interim CFO, Mr. Michael Blank will be stepping down from PyroGenesis. In addition, the company announced that the board of directors has appointed Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton LLP as the new auditor of the company, replacing KPMG LLP.
